No New Pictures

I know so many of you love his pictures. In his current state we don't have many new shots so I thought I'd post a pic from last week.

Dear friends in Jesus
I read your blog everyday. I walked in your shoes before. I pray for you all everday and you did a great job of explaining how prayers carry us through those times when we too exhausted to pray. That is what Christian friends are for. Luke is beautiful and he is God's perfect creation. Thank you for sharing your journey of faith with us. Love in Christ, Diana Fowler

We will continue to be your voice before the Lord, and we thank Him for the love of this child. Everyone has run the course given before them. Luke is here with us because of Love, never forget that, he will always be part of this world. Father, make your presence among these known so that all they see is Your face. In no other name but Jesus, I come.

Susan and Eric,
We're Neal and Lynne's friends from Cartersville. We met at Neal's 40th... that should bring up a few good laughs!

Just wanted you to know we are thinking of you. Know one knows what it is like to walk the halls of CHOA unless they've done it... and we have. Elliott had meningitis at 17 mo. and we spent 3 long weeks there. Like you, it was an up and down ride every day. We know how it feels not to want to leave the room for even a second because something might change, and you want to know what's going on at all times.

Our best advice to you is to trust the DOCTORS just as much as you trust your LORD. God gave these people the wonderful gift of being healers, and they are there for a reason. You truly are in the best place possible!

It also helped us to keep a notebook and write down every medicine, every IV, every test, etc. We felt like it helped us to prepare questions for the doctors, and we didn't feel so in the dark. Now those notes are part of our family scrapbook!

Just continue to hang in there. Your answers and healing will come! Praying for you ALL, brother and sister too!

Eric & Susan,
please know we are continually lifting you up along with Luke. Take this as a virtual hug too, we send out our love and care for you. We are praying specifically for the strength, encouragement, and peace that can only come from our Lord. We pray for Luke in every aspect of his health and life. We pray that you will physically and overwhelmingly feel the presence of our Lord with you each day, holding you strong and close.
We love you,
Johnny & Kris

Dear Eric and Susan,
We've just heard from your dad that Luke's condition has worsened, and they are on their way to be with you. We have been praying for all of you for these past three weeks, and it is with breaking hearts that we come before the Lord at this moment to pray for a miracle of healing for Luke and ask for His comforting arms around you. We will continue to be in earnest prayer and will carry you on our hearts.
With much love,
Dan and Joyce

Eric and Susan,
First of all, thank you for the updates on the blog. I look at least twice a day to see how Luke and you guys are doing. I encourage you in the Lord as Isaiah 40:31 says "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." God is and will continue to use you both as you weather this storm. Eric, the guys are meeting tomorrow at Steve's office and will be fervently praying for all of you. I am asking the Lord Jesus Christ, the great physician and healer, to breathe his life and spirit into liitle Luke's lungs and body. Lisa and I love you and your family dearly.

We continue to lift you up in prayer to God for your every need. From Luke's lungs to heal and for strength and comfort through this journey. I continue to be in awe of your faithfullness and in awe of all the wonderful Christian's posting and praying for you. What little time Luke has been here on earth and how much he has alreay made a huge difference. He is bringing us all closer to God through our love for him and your family. Today I prayed these verses over all of you.

For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:5

Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me. My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face , LORD, I will seek. Psalm 27:8

In Christ's love. Dee Denney

Dear Eric and Susan: Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this faith journey with you and precious Luke. The pictures and your faith-filled comments spread the sweet fragrance of Christ to all of us! We are praying here in FBC Naples for the wondrous power of our God to overshadow you all--including grandparents Mary Lee and Ed, and especially little Luke. Please know that all of your tears are so treasured by our Heavenly Father that He holds them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8).
Our love to all of you! Janet Wicker

Still praying for your little Luke ... Hopefully, that little fighting spirit in him will make a difference and bring him through this time of infection. I've been thinking about him often and praying for him during the day.

Susan,
It was good to see you at church last night. I hope you were able to gain strength from everyone. I can understand where you guys are because of the struggles that Jeff has with his lungs. We pray for baby Luke that God will fill his lungs with HIS breath, His healing breath. Take care.
