"We serve a risen Savior whose in the world today." I can't think of Easter but what that song comes into my head. We do see God in the world in so many ways. How wonderful to know our Lord didn't stay dead on the cross on Friday, but rose from the grave on Sunday. I always remember a sermon by Anthony Compolo (I think) entitled "It may be Friday... but Sunday's coming." I think through Luke's month here on earth we have faced a lot of Fridays that were very dark but we definitely feel God has a Sunday full of healing and light in store for Luke.
Luke continues to be stable. Because of the staph diagnosis last week (which still seems to be in control) the nurses all have to wear gowns and gloves to be in his area. It seems just when they take it all off to go to another child some alarm goes off and they have to put it all on again to help Luke. Our nurse Jennifer today said he had kept her hopping! He was needing a lot of suctioning as the vent he is on seems to cause him to have more secretions in his lungs. We are thankful for such caring and friendly nurses! We are glad to have another day with not many changes and certainly no backward movement.
Luke 18:27 " The things which are impossible with man are possible with God."

Happy Easter! We serve a risen Lord! Thankfully. I am so encouraged by your faith. I know if a couple of years, Luke's battle will seem like another lifetime ago! He is creating such a wonderful testimony for others. We are praying for complete healing for him and salvation for those he is touching.

It's so good to see Luke's eyes open and to hear yours and Eric's faith. I still pray and beleive a complete healing is taking place. God is good and his truth never fails. He alone will see ya'll though this battle. Praise him for those touched by Luke's life! God has already used his short life to touch so many and I can't wait to see how he uses him for his glory in years to come.

PRAISE BE UNTO GOD FOR GIVING US THE VICTORY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST! What a blessing to be amongst the living to celebrate Jesus' death and resurrection on this day! He alone, is the reason that Luke is still holding on. Many continued blessings to you and your family as you endure the trials and tribulations that beset you. Your unfailing faith has been an inspiration as I talk to those who have lesser issues that you. Your family is a living testimony of faith and healing. Our God is an awesome God! I'm so grateful that he trascends from denominations, race, and beliefs!!! Praise God for Luke's life and your faith.
