From Sydney

The thing we have left here on earth of Luke is his pictures and his love. All the rest of his body is in heaven with God. Hogan and I got to keep his little hospital bands and we got his little footprints and we got to keep his blankets. Mommy almost wrapped Luke up in the one I got and I really love that blanket. This is my first time writing on the blog but my Mom is actually typing it because it would take a long time for me to do it. I have love for all of you and you have done a lot for my family and that's nice. you all are a blessing to our family.
my favorite verse is proverbs 3:5/6 trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path. you all have been really really really really nice. I dont know how to explain how nice you all have been.

Sydney you are a blessing...what an unbelievable sister you have been through all of this. God really knows your heart and that's why He let you be in charge of Luke for 11 weeks. We are proud of you and can't wait to hug you (and throw you in the pool!)

Sydney, thanks for writing on the blog. I can tell by your pretty smile what a sweet girl you are and that you are a great sister too. I know God must be so proud of you the way you helped take such good care of Luke. You and Hogan are brave and strong and have taught many people to trust in Jesus even when life is hard. Keep smiling, Sweetie, and know that you and your whole family are in our prayers.

What beautiful words you share Sydnee. You are truly a beautiful young Christian, both inside and out! I don't know how this must feel because I've never been through this - you are very brave and very full of love. Someday you will know your little brother in heaven and it is so good to know that you already know that. Cynthia, a friend of your Grandma's.

Eric & Susan,
I cried as Helen told me the news about Luke. I immediately went to the blog and was looking for comforting words from you two and they were there! Thank you for taking the time to write to it daily. Luke has touched so many people's hearts. I never would have known Luke if it wasn't for the blog and all the photos. So THANK YOU!
Love you both,
Cristan

Sydney,
What a gift you are from God. Just like Luke was. You are such a mature Christian at such a young age. Spencer and Braeden are very concerned for you, "they just want you to be ok". I will show them your posting when they get home from school today. I know that you and your family will be ok, because you trust in the LORD. He brought you through this journey with Luke and he will continue to love you and carry you through all your days until it is time to go HOME to be with HIM and Luke once again.

We love you and your whole family. We miss you and wish that we were there with you.
Loving you from Kansas City,
Matt, Dee, Austin, Spencer, and Braeden

Sydney, you and your family have been such a blessing, sharing Luke with the rest of us. Most of us have never went through something you and your family have, but you have taught us how to trust in God, and praise Him through the most difficult circumstances. Thank you so much for that.

Sydney,
What an inspiration you are to so many people! I am so proud of your strength and encouragement to others. Your baby brother was an amazing gift from the Lord and so blessed to have been born into your family with circumstances that have touched so many lives! I thank God for the strength that you and Hogan have been to your mom and dad during such a difficult time. In 1 Peter 1:7 it says, "These (trials) have come so that your faith of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire, may be proved genuine and result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." I know that God is revealing himself in tremendous ways. Remember, even though it is very hard, God has perfected your baby brother now and Luke is waiting to meet with you again one day! Until then, keep his blankets and bands close by so that you know he is always with you! I love you guys and am continuously interceding on your behalf!

Love,
Allison Garrett

Dear Sydney and Hogan,
We all love u! we know that Jesus loves you and your family too. We are all praying everywhere, for God to give you His strength, because it is hard. He will heal your broken heart, but you will never, never forget how much you love your little brother. I like you, will see our baby brother again in heaven, and what a reunion that will be! Urgent prayer request was announced last night at our church for all of you. Love and hugs, TeresaRN/Naples

Hey Syd,

Thank you for sharing your blog. It is really good that you get to keep Luke's pictures and his love. And that you can share them both with everyone! God is letting us all keep so much that He gave us in Luke. It is so special for you to have his blanket. I know you are such a GREAT sister to have! Thanks too for sharing your favorite Bible verse. It shows how really strong Jesus is in you. Take good care of your Mom & Dad, & Hogan too. We love you,

Mr Lyle & Miss Mandy
