Progress


Luke continues to make baby steps. Today he began eating through a tube into his stomach. He tolerated the milk well and seemed satisfied and napped after he ate just like a normal newborn. He had a very peaceful sleepy day. They are beginning to try and wean him off the ventilator slowly. The next big hurdle will be to see if his lung size is sufficient. That is our prayer tonight - specifically for his breathing. We have seen so many blessings along the way, from my easy recovery to the daily progress we see Luke making. We have been blessed by so many phone calls, emails, cards and prayers. We feel all your love. Most of all we know we serve such a powerful Saviour who holds Luke in His hands. We hold on to the resurrection power that God has and look to him for complete healing of Luke's lungs.


Ephesians 3:20 "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us."

I guess this is why patience is a fruit of the Spirit...it must grow. I know we are all learning patience right now...especially you guys. We miss you.

Dear Lord,
We come to you as the great physician and ask for you to rest your healing hand upon your precious baby Luke. May he and his mom and dad rest in your loving arms this night. We ask that you continue to hold them up with your righteous hand, giving them strength for each new day. In Jesus Name, Amen

We have been praying for you all and the perfect peace that can only come from our loving God who holds you day and night in His hands and watches over precious Luke. You two are amazing people and as John Avant once told me, God never wastes our suffering. There is no doubt God has a plan for you all and will use you for His mighty purpose. I love the scripture "Man makes plans in his heart, but God guides his steps".

What a cutie! It sounds like he is making great progress. We are all thinking of you and wish we could be there to offer support and share our stories and experiences from our experiences with Jace. By the time you go home, you'll feel like medical experts! Thanks for sharing the pictures and updates. We'll continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I love seeing you each day! I can already see that you are as stong as your daddy and as determined as your mother. What a blessing to have that combination.
