Luke is very stable and has made little steps. He is down a few parts on his nitric oxide (they are trying to wean him off it 1 part every 8 hours). His labs were very good today. His ventilator settings are heading down with each blood gas (he was very high again Saturday). His swelling remains the same. At this point the doctors don't seem to give us much hope that it will come down after so much time. It seems we just come back to the fact that God is the only one who knows Luke and can heal him. We keep our eyes on God and know He holds each day.
We find so many blessings in the midst of our storm. It just seemed like every word at church today was a word we needed to hear. We are always so filled in worship and in the relationships we have at church. As always we are brought to tears many times. Today through a song sung by John Waller and dedicated to Luke today and always as we cry out to God on the altar and so many of you gather to pray with us. Our pastor spoke about outstanding prayers - prayers that haven't been answered yet. We are right there with Luke. God has answered many prayers daily and nightly as we pray over settings and blood gases and labs. We wait with our outstanding prayer for healing. He also talked about outstanding requests and being bold in what we ask for. We are boldly requesting healing for Luke. We trust God that however he chooses to answer that prayer it will be the best for all of us. We can't know the response yet, but know in God's time he will give us an outstanding response and we will praise him with outstanding follow-through. I love the words John sang today. This is where we are...
We need you
Yes we need you now
We're desperate for
Your presence, Lord
you are able and willing
and we know
You are the God
Who saves us
You are the God
Who heals us
You are the One
Who restores and delivers
God, you are able and more than willing
God, you are able and more... than willing
This song is new, but you can learn more about John and listen to his music on his site.

I loved all of what you said today. In fact your the one who holds me up through the storm you are going through. I prayed for Luke this morning and ask God to heal his little body. I know all this is in God's timing and I try not to be selfish with my prayers. Please know your family is on my heart each day and I ask God to keep you all strong. Love Gloria
it just takes me back to a verse you have already leaned on...God is rejoicing over your faith in who He is and what He is doing...
"The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."
Zephaniah 3:16-18
I love your faith. God is so awesome and amazing and he speaks through John's music too. I had never heard of him, but love his music. He is humble and said everything is in God's timing. Yes, he is so, right. Keep your faithfulness. God will never forget about Baby Luke or your family. It is too big for me to understand either, but just know that through the Holy Spirit, you will get through this storm. Nothing, is too big for our Lord! He is King!
We just finished Getting Gripped by His greatness, by James MacDonald. He and his wife faced a terrible beginning with their little baby boy. He is fine now, but born with the worst heart defect possible. Most die, and face 3-4 surgeries. His heart was in his abdomen. After the first surgery, God performed a miracle that know one could deny. As we watched them on the DVD, we all cried too. It was a miracle that science couldn't ignore. All things are possible through Jesus. His hand can pick up the earth. Remember Isaiah praying in the temple, our Lord was huge, smoke, music, his train filled the temple, etc. He lives, and we will continue to pray for His mercy! Whatever happens he will be your refuge and strength! Love Teresa RN
Thinking of you all today, as always. Wanted you to know that Lucy Symonds prayed for Luke last night when we had our prayer time with the children. God hears when His children (of all ages) pray. Love, Cheryl Burchfield
Yesterday in church I needed uplifting, the message was direct and beautiful. Delivered by a David Nasser a speaker from Alabama, and he spoke on Isaiah. I send this message to Eric and Susan, as you also need uplifting.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, For I am with you, Be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous hand.
What an amazing God he is to strengthen all of us if we look to him for strength. Warrior Luke is surrounded by all the prayer warriors and his family. We stand faithfully ready for which ever path we may need to journey.
love aunt Carissa
Dear Eric, Susan, and children,
I sense the Holy Spirit leading me to pray with you. "Dear Lord You are our strength and refuge. You are our hope. We believe You can heal Baby Luke if it is Your will to do so. We are going to trust and believe You God have a plan not only for Eric and Susan and family, but also for Baby Luke. Amen."
"For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13, NASB
Love, Teresa RN
